Hello hello, welcome to the electrifying world of STAGNANT WATERS! Over a decade has elapsed since the groundbreaking eponymous debut album. In 2024, STAGNANT WATERS is set to make an audacious return to the forefront of experimental music. STAGNANT WATERS is a fusion of extraordinary coprophagists, featuring Svein Egil "Zweizz" Hatlevik of Fleurety, Strid, and former DHG fame, alongside the exceptional Camille Giraudeau from Doedsmaghird, Void, and Dreams of the Drowned. Aymeric Thomas of Pryapisme completes this stellar trio, promising a musical expedition like no other.
Ranging from utraviolent electronics via quirkiness and sadness to insistent blastbeatery and beyond, Rifts imprisons the listener in a labyrinthine labyrinth (of labyrinths) of catchy yet bewildering sounds. Are you in love with the minotaur? STAGNANT WATERS, the sonic dermatologists of chaos, have sculpted "Rifts" into a visceral evisceration of unknown viscera. They need your blood to go to the outer periphery. Each track is a gateway into unreasonable dimensions where dissonance and melody collide in a kaleidoscopic kaleidoscope (of kaleidoscopes) – cracked from kaleidoscopic banality. There are also wind instruments. The dirty yellow vinyl edition captures the essence of the album's flawed, sometimes flaccid, power, pressed into wax as if it were a head-on collision between Geronimo and Euronymous.

The new album Rifts is available on exclusive dirty yellow vinyl or a splattered version. All copies are hybrid editions including a CD with a parallel rendition of the album. The splattered edition is a Neuropa mailorder exclusive and limited to only 50 copies. The album artwork is crafted by Trine + Kim Design Studio, providing a novel
interpretation of blackish metalish aesthetics: THAT UNMISTAKABLE POST-FOREST FEELIN’. Staying home, sleeping alone.
